Documentation is infrastructure, not admin

We are a documentation architecture firm based in Abuja, working with SaaS, fintech and regulated teams wherever they are.

Doc Foundry grew out of documenting enterprise systems in financial services, at Afreximbank and Access Bank. That work centred on middleware and integration: Boomi, Fiorano and Kafka, where one undocumented mapping can stop a payment flow and one vague procedure becomes an audit finding.

It taught a simple lesson. Documentation fails less often because of poor writing than because nobody designed it, nobody checked it with the people who run the system and nobody kept it current after launch. Doc Foundry exists to do those three things properly.

What we believe
01

Structure before prose

Documentation written before its structure is designed cannot scale or be maintained. We agree the architecture before we draft a word.

02

A practice, not a project

"We'll update it later" is almost never true. Documentation has to be maintained as part of how you ship, or it starts going stale the day it launches.

03

Clarity is an advantage

Clear documentation shortens onboarding, reduces support load and earns trust with users, customers and regulators.

How we work with you

From Abuja, with teams anywhere

We're based in Abuja on West Africa Time (UTC+1), which overlaps the working day in London, Europe and the Gulf, and the morning on the US East Coast. Calls, reviews and handovers run remotely.

In the tools you already use

We write where your team and your users already are, so nothing has to migrate.

For teams where documentation matters

SaaS and technology companies, fintech and financial services, and operations where processes have to be written down, followed and provable.
