Who we are

Doc Foundry is a documentation architecture firm registered in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, at 5 Kwaji Close, Maitama, Abuja. You can reach us at hello@docfoundry.co.

What we collect

This website has no accounts. Apart from analytics, which only runs if you agree to it (see below), we only receive information you choose to send us:

• When you book a call, the booking calendar is provided by Cal.com. It collects your name, email address, the time you pick and your answers to our booking questions, and sends them to us. Cal.com may set cookies needed for booking to work. Its privacy policy is at cal.com/privacy.
• When you subscribe to the Journal, we receive your email address (see Journal emails below).
• When you email us directly, we receive your message and contact details.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and reliability.

Journal emails

If you subscribe to the Journal, we ask for your email address and send a confirmation link first. Nothing is stored until you click it; unconfirmed requests expire after seven days. Once you confirm, your address is kept by our email provider, Resend, so we can send you one email each time we publish. Resend's privacy policy is at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us at hello@docfoundry.co. We keep your address until you unsubscribe, use it only for the Journal and never share or sell it.

Analytics and cookies

With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site: which pages they visit, how they arrived and roughly where they are. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes your IP address, which we ask Google to shorten. We use the reports only to improve the site.

Google Analytics does not load until you choose Accept in the cookie banner. If you choose Decline, or ignore the banner, it never loads. You can change your choice at any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

Data collected through Google Analytics is processed by Google, including in the United States, and kept for up to 14 months.

How we use it

We use your details only to reply to you, arrange and prepare for a call and follow up on it. We do not sell your information or add you to marketing lists.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for up to two years, unless you become a client, in which case they form part of our client records.

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct or delete the information we hold about you, under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and, where it applies to you, the UK or EU GDPR. Email hello@docfoundry.co and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top of this page.
